SPARTANBURG, S.C. - After starting Big South Conference play with a mid-week win over UNC Asheville, the USC Upstate women's basketball program looks to go 2-0 as the Spartans will face off against the Winthrop Eagles Saturday afternoon in Rock Hill, S.C.

Players to Watch 
USC Upstate: With a career-high 18 points on Wednesday, Jeni Levine led the Spartans to their first Big South win of the season. Levine's 18-point performance was her sixth game of the season scoring in double-figures and her third time leading the Spartans in points. Isabell West posted a career-high nine rebounds and as well as 12 points on Wednesday for her eighth game scoring in double-figures, her third consecutive game doing so. West leads the Spartans in points with 151 points, averaging 10.8 points per game.  

Winthrop: Jada Ryce led the Eagles to their 58-53 victory over the Lancers on Wednesday with a career-high 21 points. She had her first double-digit scoring performance of the season in November against Erskine where she scored 19 points and has since had seven games scoring in double figures, including posting double-digits in six of Winthrop's last the last eight contests. Ryce leads Winthrop with 133 points, averaging 9.5 points per game, while Marissa Gasaway sits just behind her with 132 points, averaging 9.4 points per game.
