SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene on the City of Spartanburg and surrounding areas, USC Upstate, alongside our many partners that come together to make Morgan Square Madness the special event that it is, have decided to postpone the event from its originally scheduled date of Thursday, October 3rd.  The new date for Morgan Square Madness will be Tuesday, October 22nd at 6:00 pm.  

South Carolina's only outdoor interactive basketball event, Morgan Square Madness powered by Ingles, returns for a third year to the heart of downtown Spartanburg with the first two installments met with rave reviews and huge turnouts.   Morgan Square Madness includes the introduction of the USC Upstate men's and women's basketball teams and music from DJ Sha, contests, giveaways and a whole lot more!  Best of all, Morgan Square Madness is free and open to the public!   Our pre-event concert featuring Asheville's Lyric get the fun started at 5:00 pm. 

Event Rundown
5:00 pm - Concert Featuring Asheville-based R&B Artist, Lyric, presented by Ingles
5:00 pm - USC Upstate Student Zone presented by the SC Army National Guard opens (details below)
5:00 pm -  Giveaways available at the Ingles Fan Services Tent near the fountain including T-shirts (adults and students) and mini basketballs (for kids)
5:00 pm -  Food trucks open featuring selections from Rigsby's, Salsarita's and Jeremiah's Italian Ice (see menu below)
6:00 pm -  Morgan Square Madness begins!
8:20 pm -  As Morgan Square Madness concludes, stick around and dance on the court with DJ Sha's Dance Party until 9:00pm!

Hang out with interactive yard games including cornhole, ladder golf and more and test your power on the Punching Machine all while enjoying food options from Rigsby's, Salsarita's and Jeremiah's Italian Ice.

Food Truck Menu
The first 50 students to attend will receive a voucher for $10 to use at the food trucks!  Meal options include hamburgers, pulled pork sandwich, wings or the pulled pork mac and cheese from Rigsby's. Salsaritas will feature a pre-prepared burrito option and chips and queso plus there will be dessert for sale from Jeremiah's Italian Ice.  Meal prices will be $10-$11 each.

Morgan Square Madness is supported by a host of area corporations including signature partner, Ingles.  "Slam Dunk Sponsors" included McMillan Pazdan Smith, Morgan Square Hospitality, The Johnson Group, Denny's, Bojangles and Rigsby's.  "Jump Shot Sponsors" included Spartan Waste, South Carolina Army National Guard, Pinnacle Partnership, PSI Design and the City of Spartanburg.  Media Partners included Audacy, Fox Sports Spartanburg 98.3FM, Arrowhead Design Group and other anonymous donors.
