SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Undertaking its final preparations for the 2024-25 season as the official start of the new campaign is a week away, USC Upstate men's basketball sees one final tune-up, hosting North Greenville in an exhibition contest Tuesday evening.
In partnership with the USC Upstate Office of Student Involvement and USC Upstate Athletics, the university's annual Trunk or Treat event will coincide with Tuesday's game, running from 6 to 8 p.m. ET in the front parking lot of the G.B. Hodge Center.
Tuesday's exhibition features free admission, but fans must register at the ticket booth to receive their complimentary tickets. Fans are also encouraged to make donations for Hurricane Helene relief efforts at the game.
The exhibition contest versus North Greenville embarks the Spartan program on a new era of Upstate basketball, marking the first opportunity to hit the court under head coach Marty Richter. He ascends to the helm of the Spartan program following a six-year stint as an assistant coach at Drake. Upstate returns two players from last season and complements the duo with 12 newcomers to the program.
