Women's Basketball Concludes Three-Game Season-Opening Road Swing with Trip to South Carolina State Tuesday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Closing out its three-game road swing to open the 2024-25 season, USC Upstate women's basketball faces its first game in the state of South Carolina as it travels to South Carolina State Wednesday. The Spartans and Bulldogs meet for the second straight season and 10th time overall—meeting in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2018-19—with a 6:30 p.m. ET tip-off in Orangeburg, S.C.

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Dropping a season-best 15 points behind a 6-of-11 (1-of-1 from three) shooting performance, junior guard Jeni Levine finished three markers shy of her career-high, leading the Spartans in scoring at UNC Greensboro. She also passed out a season-best five assists, the most in a contest by a Spartan this season, entering Wednesday's game tied for the team lead in the category with six assists. Levine also enters the South Carolina State contest averaging a team-leading 9.5 points per game.
 
South Carolina State: Shooting 78.6 percent (11-of-14) from the field this season, junior guard Angie Juste-Jean leads all Bulldog scorers, averaging 15.5 points per game. The Coastal Carolina transfer posted a team-high 22 points in the season opener against Furman, finishing 8-of-9 from the field while adding a pair of steals.
