Event Preview

The Spartans continued on through the 2024 season with their first home race of the season at Milliken Research Park on Sept. 6 where the men achieved a fifth-place team finish while the women finished seventh. Ian Kelbert led the pack for the men with an 11th place finish, which earned him his first conference honor as a Spartan as he was named the Big South Male Runner of the Week. Freshman Cameron Moors also collected his first Big South honor as his 42nd place finish earned him the title of Big South Male Freshman of the week. Beth Ludwick led the women for the second race this season and achieved a 41st place finish with her time of 19:21.85.

Despite this being the first season Upstate will race in the Converse Kick Off, the Spartans are no stranger to the course as the race will take place at Milliken Research Park, where Upstate hosts the annual Eye Opener and Upstate Invite.

Next UP
Upstate will take the trip to Louisville, KY to compete in the Live in Lou Classic hosted by the University of Louisville on Saturday, Oct. 5.
