Upstate Men's Golf Announces the 2025 Spring Schedule

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Head Coach Todd Lawton has released the spring 2025 schedule for USC Upstate Men's Golf, featuring six events, including five tournaments and one match.

Coach Lawton shared his excitement, stating, "With lots of momentum from our fall ending win, I am excited about the schedule and how this spring presents a lot of opportunity to compete at a national level. Â We are very excited about the new venues at familiar locations as well. Â Adding a match play event is going to be a wonderful opportunity to prepare for the same at the Big South Championships."

Beginning the spring season in a similar fashion as last year, the team heads down to Jacksonville, Florida, for the SeaBest Invitational. A total of 12 teams will compete from February 3rd through February 4th. Â The Spartans will face top talent, including #14 Florida, #28 Texas A&M, and #48 Kennesaw State.

The Spartans will resume play on February 10th at the Match Play in Dade City, Florida, hosted by Ball State. Eight teams, including Dayton, Loyola University Chicago, and the University of Richmond will tee off against each other.

Heading west, the Spartans travel to Boulder City Nevada for spring break, taking part in the 2025 Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State March 7th through 8th. This 11-team tournament has Upstate facing opponents such as Southern Utah University, Western Illinois University, Niagara University, and Creighton.

The UNCW Seahawk Intercollegiate takes place March 24th through 25th, featuring a total of 15 teams. This tournament features top-notch talent including #24 Duke University and #6 North Carolina.

For the second year in a row, the Spartans will participate in the Golfweek Spring Invite, located in Pawleys Island, S.C., from March 31st to April 2nd. Upstate will tee off against opponents such as Xavier, Marshall, and University of Connecticut.
The last match of the season is the Big South Golf Championship, hosted by Ocean Creek Golf Course on Fripp Island, S.C., taking place April 20th to 23rd. This will feature eight Big South teams, including Winthrop, High Point, Charleston-Southern, Gardner-Webb, Longwood, Presbyterian, Radford, and USC Upstate.
