Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Garnering her first career Big South weekly honor, freshman libero Sophia Overholt claimed the league's Libero of the Week Monday afternoon after averaging 6.44 digs per set. She picked up a career-best 35 digs last Friday versus Radford, tied for the fourth-most in a single match in program history and rewrote her own record for digs in a single match by an Upstate freshman. Overholt enters the weekend ranked fourth in the Big South in both total digs and digs per set, totaling 323 digs at an average of 4.55 per set.
 
Charleston Southern: Ranked just ahead of Overholt on the Big South's total digs and digs per set leaderboard, junior libero Presley Morris totals 371 digs at an average of 4.82 digs per set. She enters Friday's match registering double-digit digs on 19 occasions in 2025, entering off a 26-dig performance versus Gardner-Webb. Morris also adds 74 assists and eight service aces this season.
 
Presbyterian: Passing out 606 assists and averaging 8.54 assists per set, junior setter Anisa Dorlouis ranks second in the Big South in both categories entering the weekend. She enters Friday evening holding a streak of seven straight double-doubles as she adds 276 digs to her statistical ledger this season. Dorlouis tallies 81 kills, 11 service aces, and 29 total blocks to supplement her totals.
 
Up Next for the Spartans
Continuing the team's longest road swing of the campaign, USC Upstate returns to the road for a pair of matches at High Point and at Radford as the rematch portion of the team's Big South Conference slate continues. The Spartans and Panthers meet on Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. ET before the Spartans and Highlanders clash on Nov. 1 at 2 p.m.
