Players to Watch

USC Upstate: Sophomore Guard, Carmelo Adkins continues to build through collegiate career on pace for 500 career points 38 games into two seasons. Adkins has taken a jump in his sophomore year leading Upstate with 16 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field, 54 percent from the three-point line, and 63 percent from the charity stripe. The Sophomore from Lubbock, Texas displayed his shot making ability with tough takes to the lane, floaters, and big shots from beyond the arc while coming up with a clutch steal to keep Upstate in the game against Tennessee Tech. Adkins has two 20+ point performances on the season along with five consecutive 10+ point performances. Carmelo Adkins leads the Big South in the three-point percentage column while being ranked #36 in the NCAA. The Wolves will look to contain Adkins as he continues to grow through the season.

West Georgia: Senior Forward, Shelton Williams-Dryden leads the Wolves with 18.0 points per game while shooting 43 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free throw line. Williams-Dryden has scored in double figures in all five games played with his season-high 22 points against the Citadel. Shelton Williams-Dryden adds much value on the boards averaging 8.8 rebounds a game where he has added two double-doubles in his last two outings. The Spartans will look to contain Williams-Dryden as he looks to push the Wolves for another win.
