SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Returning home for the third time in the season's first month, USC Upstate women's basketball hosts Montreat in the team's final pre-Thanksgiving contest Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET. The Spartans look to improve their 2-0 start on their home floor in 2025-26 by extending their 2-0 series lead against the Cavaliers in the first meeting between the two programs since 2022-23.

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Dropping the Big South's highest-scoring game of the 2025-26 season, the lone contest with a league player scoring 30 or more points, redshirt sophomore Cassie Gallagher finished just shy of the program's single-game scoring record with her 35-point performance versus Morehead State. Her career-high scoring total came behind a shooting performance seeing her hit 50.0 percent (13-of-26) from the floor and 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from beyond the arc with both her 13 made field goals and seven made three-pointers career-best marks. She enters Tuesday's game ranked third in the Big South in scoring at 15.7 points per contest, leading the league in three-point field goals (18) and three-point field goal percentage (50.0).
 
Montreat: Scoring in double-figures in seven straight contests entering play Tuesday, junior guard Rymiah Sanders leads the Cavaliers in scoring, averaging 18.6 points per game. Four times she's scored 20-plus points, including a 30-point effort on Nov. 8 versus Carolina University. She shoots 41.9 percent (57-of-136) from the field while adding 4.8 rebounds per game, a total also pacing Montreat.
