17 Spartans Earn Top-Ten Finishes as Track and Field Closes the Regular Season at the Charlotte Invite

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – USC Upstate track and field traveled back to the Queen City for the final regular season meet of the outdoor season. The Spartans had 17 top-ten finishes in the meet and 15 new personal bests.
 
Day One: Jessa Beach finished third in women's hammer throw with a distance of 58.28m. She now ranks 37th in the East Region for the event. Nic Brooks set a new personal best in the men's 5000m.
 
Day Two: Rachel Davis led the Spartans in women's shot put, breaking the school record with a throw of 14.96m. Quintavius James finished second in the men's 100m with a time of 10.54.
