EUGENE, Ore. – Success continues for USC Upstate track and field, with freshman thrower
Joshua Sterling qualifying for the USA Track and Field under-20 championships. The event is held at the University of Oregon, and Sterling is one of just 20 athletes competing in the men's discus throw.
Already making an impact and collecting hardware, Sterling finished second in discus at the Big South Outdoor Championships, throwing a distance of 52.36m. This mark also ranks second all-time in school history.
The USATF U20 Championships begin tomorrow, with the men's discus throw taking place at 5:15 pm PT/ 8:15 PM EST.
