Jessa Beach and Rachel Davis Each Add to Their Collection of Big South Weekly Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced the women's track and field athletes this afternoon. Taking home Co-Field Athlete of the Week Honors were Rachel Davis and Jessa Beach.
Following her performance at the Charlotte Invitational, Rachel Davis earned her third Big South Field Athlete of the Week Honor. Davis won first place in women's shot put with a throw of 14.96m, a new school record. She also sits second in the conference in women's hammer throw with a distance of 35.56m.
Jessa Beach collected her second Big South Athlete of the Week Honor after her performance in the hammer throw at the Charlotte Invitational. Her throw of 58.28m now places her atop the conference, besting her previous mark of 56.13m. Beach sits 37th in the East Region for the event.

The Spartans compete in the Big South Outdoor Championship May 12-14.
