SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate women's soccer head coach Sharif Saber has added nine freshmen and one transfer to the program for the 2025 season.

Avery Heeb | Goalkeeper | 5-6 | Peachtree City, Ga. | University of West Georgia
Heeb  transferred to USC Upstate after spending a season at (2024) at University of West Georgia…As a freshman, she appeared in two games, making one start with Wolves…Attended McIntosh High School (Peachtree City, Ga.)… Helped the Chiefs win three 5A  Region Championships (2022-2024)… Named to the all-state team and 5A player of the year three times (2022-2024)…Named to the all-region team four times (2021-2024)…Holds the McIntosh record for most shutouts…Was a member of the Beta Club…Played club for Gwinnett Soccer Academy ECNL and participated in the national tournament.

Angie Banks | Forward | 5'0 | Binghamton, N.Y. | Binghamton HS
Attended Binghamton High School… Two-sport letter winner in soccer (4) and basketball (1)… Finished high school career with 86 goals and 15 assists… Two-time NYSPHSAA All-District selection… Two-time VSHL First Team All-Region selection… Received the Academic Excellence Award twice … Played club for Western New York Flash Binghamton…Recorded 10 career assists and 25 goals per season since the U-13… Two-time Girls Academy National Talent ID Selection… Named Girls Academy Conference Talent ID Selection… Named US Youth Futsal Regional Talent ID Selection.

Raegan Bell | Midfielder | 5'8 | Worthington, Ohio | Thomas Worthington HS
Attended Thomas Worthington High School… Two-sport letter winner in soccer (4) and basketball (2)… Was a four-year varsity starter for the Cardinals… Received consecutive all-conference special mention, second team, and first team honors… Played club for Sporting Columbus, qualifying for regionals three years in a row… Helped Sporting Columbus to the state cup and regional final, finishing runners-up while qualifying for nationals… Was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Athletic Leadership Board.

Maylie Diaz | Midfielder | 5'2 | Odessa, Fla. | Cambridge Christian School
Attended Cambridge Christian School… A four-year letter winner in soccer… Helped Cambridge Christian win the District 9 Championship in 2020-2021… Finished District 9 runner-up in 2021-2022… Finished high school career with 35 goals, 36 assists, and 106 points…Captain of high school team…Part of the Student Leadership Institute, Key Club, Pickle Ball Club, and Student Ambassadors.

Attended Glen Ridge High School…Two-sport letter in soccer (4) and track (4)…Finished high school career with 12 goals and 18 assists…Earned Super Essex honorable mention and Top 75 NJ in her freshman year… Named to the Super Essex second team her sophomore year…Varsity captain for the Ridgers..
