CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Coming off the program's highest-ever Big South regular season placement—a third-place finish—USC Upstate volleyball begins its second straight campaign with its highest preseason prognostication, picked third in the league's annual preseason poll. The Spartans also find themselves with three preseason All-Big South selections, the most for the program since joining the league, as senior middle blocker Ady O'Grady, senior right-side hitter Savannah Page, and sophomore setter Kamyla Vega David earn selection.
 
Entering her third season atop the Upstate program, head coach Ali Skayhan has seen the Spartans' preseason ranking improve each season, culminating in the team's third-place ranking entering the new campaign. The Spartans return seven players from last year's squad, including its three preseason All-Big South selections, while welcoming nine newcomers for the 2025 season.
