SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate men's golf hosted The Carolina Cup this past weekend.
Kicking off the weekend was the Spartan Golf Classic, featuring community supporters and a game of golf with various prizes and other activities. During this fun-filled tournament,
Nate Heller got a hole-in-one. First Tee finished the tournament in first place, followed by Metro Water Works in second.
With the chance of impending weather, the tournament shifted to 27 holes on Sunday and 27 holes on Monday.
Leading the way throughout the tournament were
Jackson Stone and
Alec Prentice. Stone finished the tournament even with par, posting rounds of 70-74-72 for 216, placing him in fourth on the individual leaderboard. Prentice shot rounds of 72-72-73 to finish one over in fifth place individually.
On the Upstate B team,
Caden Sanders and
Nate Heller lead the way, each finishing in the top-30. Both had a complete score of 228.

UP Next for the Spartans
The Spartans have some time off before hosting their next tournament, the Fripp Island Intercollegiate, held November 1-3 at Ocean Creek Golf Course.
