Trey Taylor

Trey Taylor is in his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the USC Upstate men's and women's golf programs.

A 2017 graduate of USC Upstate, Taylor spent the last season as a graduate assistant coach for the men’s team at Jacksonville University. The Dolphins won the Bridgestone Stroke Play and finished third in the 2018 ASUN Men’s Golf Championship while qualifying for the NCAA Division I Regional Championship. Jacksonville’s final NCAA ranking was in the top 60 of all Division I programs. While at Jacksonville, Taylor earned his Master’s degree in sport management.

A native of Gaffney, S.C, Taylor played in over 60 tournament rounds while a member of the Spartans from 2013-2017. He was a member of the ASUN All-Academic team his sophomore year and posted five under-par rounds in his career.

Prior to his arrival at USC Upstate, Taylor was a highly regarded junior golfer at Gaffney High School.

In addition to his collegiate career, Taylor served as a volunteer assistant coach for Gaffney High School during the 2016-17 season. Under his assistance, the team won the Class AAAAA Upper State Championship and was the Class AAAAA Runner-Up in South Carolina.
