Series History
This is the fifth all-time meeting between USC Upstate and High Point University. The Panthers are 3-1 all-time against the Spartans and have won the past three meetings. USC Upstate will be looking for their first win in the series since the 1990 season. Last season High Point defeated USC Upstate in their only matchup 87-6 inside the G.B. Hodge Center. Michaela Gibbons led the Spartans in scoring with 19-points, Brianna Lewis added 15-points and Riley Popplewell contributed 14-points in the post.

Last time out
UPSTATE – The Spartans are coming off a 50-38 loss to Campbell on Tuesday afternoon. The loss snaps a three-game winning streak and it was the second lowest point total of the season for USC Upstate. Kathryn Kirkwood came off the bench to lead the Spartans in scoring with 10-points in the match.

High Point – High Point is 2-9 this season and are currently in the middle of a five game losing streak. The Panthers have not won a game since November and they are now 0-2 in Big South action after losses to both Campbell and Winthrop.

Ones to watch
UPSTATE – Brianna Lewis is averaging a team best 14.5 points per contest and 5.1 assists per game. Riley Popplewell is averaging a team best 6.9 rebounds and the Spartans front court is looking to bounce back after the Campbell loss with the center rotation of Barrett Herring, Quadijah Moore and Kathryn Kirkwood.

High Point – Skyler Curran currently leads the team with 17.1 points per game. Camryn Brown is second on the team in points with an average of 13.4 and she leads the team in both assists (50) and steals (18). Miya Bull is third on the team in points (7.1) but has bullied her way to a team best 63 rebounds and 7 blocks.
