SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's tennis team improved to 2-0 at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex this season with a 7-0 sweep of North Greenville University on Saturday afternoon.

Tim McLane said, "We've got another one tomorrow against a good Chattanooga team, but our guys will recover and get ready to battle."
USC Upstate (2-5) won the doubles point over the Crusaders with a 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles and a 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. Holding a 1-0 advantage the Spartans never let up as USC Upstate won every singles court in straight sets.
Freshman
Leon Roider improved to 5-2 on the season and has now won three straight matches. Roider is now 2-1 at the No. 1 singles flight this season. Senior
Fernando Bernardes improved to 2-0 at the No.2 singles court and
Luka Eble improved to 2-3 at the No. 3 singles position.
Guilherme Diniz improved to 3-0 at the No.4 singles position, while
Tom Russwurm and
Frederick Sydown picked up wins at the No.5 and No. 6 singles courts.
The USC Upstate tennis team will complete their weekend homestand with a 12 p.m. matchup against Chattanooga at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
