Series History
This is the 10th All-Time meeting between USC Upstate and Longwood University dating back to the 1989-1990 basketball season. The Spartans won the first six matchups between the two squads and hold a 7-2 overall series record against the Lancers. USC Upstate and Longwood split the season series a season ago and the Division I series record is split at 2-2. However, USC Upstate holds a commanding 4-1 advantage over Longwood inside the G.B. Hodge Center. Last season, the Lancers came into the Hodge Center and came away with a 68-58 win over the Spartans. USC Upstate guard

Ones to Watch
Upstate – Tommy Bruner (Columbia, S.C.) leads the Spartan offense with 13.8 points per game this season. Bruner also leads the team in steals (13) and assists (44).
Bryson Mozone (North Augusta, S.C.) is second on the team with 11.3 points per contest and is coming off his second career double-double. The junior out of South Carolina tied his career high with 14-rebounds against High Point on New Year's Eve.
Everette Hammond (Silver Springs, Md.) is third on the team with 10.7 points per game and he is coming off an 18-point outing against High Point.
Nevin Zink (Newtown, Conn.) leads the team with 50 rebounds this season and he also recorded his fourth career double-double against High Point in the Series opener. Â

Longwood – A trio of Lancers are averaging double-figures this season, with Juan Munoz leading the way with 12.5 points per game this season. DeShaun Wade has come off the bench for Longwood and is providing 11.3 points per contest. Justin Hill is one of the best players on the team averaging 10.9 points per game and he leads the team in rebounds (53) and assists (37).Â
