Back in the Hodge For More Big South Action, the Spartans Prepare to Host the Longwood Lancers

Series History 

USC Upstate and Longwood have squared off 10 times since their original meeting back in 2009 where the Spartans claimed their first victory with a 71-59 in Farmville, Va. Upstate trails the overall series 6-4, while trailing 4-3 at home and having a 2-2 record on the road. In conference play, the Spartans trail 6-2. Most recently Upstate fell 71-66 at home in the 2021-2022 season.

Players to Watch
Upstate: After earning her first Big South honor on Monday, Isabella Geraci had her fourth consecutive game scoring in double figures. Against the Fighting Camels Geraci posted 14 points, six rebounds, four steals, and two assists. Jeni Levine also recorded double-figures for points for the second time this season and tied her season-high of 10 points against Campbell.  

Upstate switched up the lineup to take on Campbell, returning Talia Roldan to the starting lineup in place of Rebekah Gordon. Prior to Campbell, Upstate ran a consistent line up for seven games with Isabella Geraci, Rebekah Gordon, Trinity Johnson, Jeni Levine, and AC Markham on the floor. Geraci and Markham are the only two Spartans to start all 15 contests so far for the Spartans.  

Longwood: The Lancers had three players who scored in double-figures to help get the win over Longwood on Wednesday night. Adriana Shipp-Davis hit a season-high for scoring with the 26 points she posted while Anne-Hamilton LeRoy had her 11th game scoring in double-figures and Bailey Williams had her first. Shipp-Davis went 9-14 for field goals, 2-2 for three-pointers, and 6-6 for free throws.

Up Next for the Spartans 
Next week USC Upstate will head to Clinton, S.C. on Wednesday to play Presbyterian in mid-week action and then return to the G.B. Hodge Center to host UNC Asheville on Saturday afternoon.
