Tournament Preview
Returning to the course and heading back to the State of Georgia following another two-and-a-half-week layoff from competition, USC Upstate men's golf looks to build upon its strong final round at the Savannah Intercollegiate as it turns its focus to the Sea Palms Invitational at Sea Palms Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga.
 
At the Savannah Intercollegiate, each member of the team's five-player lineup carded their lowest 18-hole scores of the event in the final round, posting a team 54-hole total of 285. The final round marked the team's second-lowest round score of the season as the Spartans carded totals of 305-304-285-894.
 
Senior Brady Hinkle paced the Spartans for the second consecutive event to open the spring season, earning his first top-10 finish of the season as he turned in marks of 72-76-69-217, tying for ninth on the final leaderboard. Leading to a Big South Freshman of the Week selection, freshman Elias Becker finished just outside the top-25 (tied for 26^th) as he fired career-low 54 and 18-hole totals as he fashioned scores of 76-74-72-222.
 
The Sea Palms Invitational features three rounds spread over three days as the Spartans play 18 holes a day. The Spartans' first round tees off Thursday with tee times beginning at 9 a.m. ET.
