Head Coach
Todd Lawton said this after the tournament: "While there's never a time that you want to have the outcome we had, we can all appreciate the work and effort it took to get here. Nothing can change the historic moment this represents in our program's history. So many good things come from this, and I'm excited about how these guys played. The stage was big, and I feel like we responded well to the course conditions and pressure. It was certainly difficult. I know these guys are disappointed in the final score, but I hope their hearts are full from this experience. I know mine is. This certainly gives us an opportunity for growth in the future."
The Spartans have much to be proud of this season, winning the first Big South Championship in program history, as well as being the first men's team at Upstate to win a conference championship.
