SPARTANBURG, S.C. – On the course for the final time in preparation for the 2023 Big South Men's Golf Championships, USC Upstate men's golf posted its third-best 54-hole team total and claimed two top-30 finishers for the second time this season as play completed at the Wofford Invitational Tuesday afternoon.

Zander Briggs paced the Spartans as both tied for 23
rd on the final leaderboard, making the Wofford Invitational the second event this season with multiple top-30 finishers, joining the Savannah Intercollegiate (Feb. 18-19).
Hinkle continued his strong spring as he posted a sub-220, 54-hole individual total for the fifth time this season and the fourth time in five events during the spring slate, fashioning scores of 73-69-72-214. Earning his best career finish, Briggs carded marks of 70-71-73-214 as his opening-round 70 and his 54-hole total of 214 marked career lows.
Another Spartan who posted a career-best finish and career-low 18 and 54-hole totals, sophomore
Barrett Josey tied for 56
th in the tournament field. He wrote in scores of 71-72-78-221 with his opening-round 71 and 54-hole total 221 representing career lows.
As a team, the Spartans posted their third-best 54-hole team total of the season, placing 16
th behind scores of 296-287-303-886. The team's second-round score of 287 tied for the team's third-lowest round of the season with the Wofford Invitational being one of three events this season to see multiple team sub-300 rounds.

- Leading to his fourth top-30 finish of the spring, Brady Hinkle placed top-10 in the tournament field in a pair of statistical categories. He tied for ninth in the Wofford Invitational field in total birdies (13) and tied for 10th in Par-4 Scoring (4.00; E).
- On the Country Club of Spartanburg's 501-yar, Par-5 17th hole, Panop Norasing carded the Spartans' lone eagle of the event.
- For the second straight event, Zander Briggs carded a career-low round as his opening-round 70 established a new career-low. The round bests his previous career low of 71 from the opening round of the Seahawk Intercollegiate.
