SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The USC Upstate women's basketball program will conclude the regular season with a short road trip to Clinton, S.C. to take on the Blue Hose on Wednesday night. Despite one contest remaining, Upstate has already secured a second-place regular season finish with a 10-5 Big South record and will enter the Big South Women's Basketball Tournament with its highest seeding since joining the conference in 2018.

In the Spartans' January meeting against Presbyterian, Upstate was able to down Presbyterian 62-58 in the G.B. Hodge Center to advance its conference record to 7-1. Jeni Levine led the Spartans' offense with 13 points which was her 10th game scoring in double figures and was Levine's second straight game scoring 13 points. Trinity Johnson helped the Spartans on offense with 12 points in her 10th game of the season scoring in double figures. Johnson led the team in assists (8) for the 16th game of the season.
Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Despite seniors Trinity Johnson and Isabell West scoring in double figures, Upstate finished with a late 67-61 loss to the Winthrop Eagles on Saturday. Johnson led the Spartans' offense with 18 points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals. West was just behind her with 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and one block. The forward leads the team with 297 points, averaging 10.6 points per game, 188 rebounds, 26 steals, 19 blocks, and 19 assists. Johnson reached a Big South record as she became one of the three Big South women's basketball players to reach 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists.
Presbyterian: The Blue Hose were able to down the Eagles 62-40 in their second to last home game of the regular season on Wednesday night. Bryanna Brady led Presbyterian with 23 points, five rebounds, one assist, and one block. Tilda Sjokvist contributed 14 points, two rebounds, and three assists to Presbyterian's win. Brady leads the Blue Hose with 364 points, averaging 12.6 points per game, 130 rebounds, 39 assists, 24 blocks, and six steals.
