In the Spartans' January meeting against the Bulldogs, Upstate walked away with an impressive 71-44 home victory. Jeni Levine led the charge with a season-high 18 points, while Trinity Johnson (13) and Isabell West (12) scored in double figures as well. Against the Bulldogs, West also collected nine rebounds, had two assists, had one block and had one steal.
Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Rebekah Gordon had a strong performance in Wednesday night's win over Longwood after scoring 11 points, making seven rebounds, and collecting one steal. Isabell West led the team in rebounds with nine, bringing her season total to 154. Trinity Johnson was credited with five assists to bring her season total to 103. West leads the Spartans' stat line with 255 points, 154 rebounds, 21 steals, 15 blocks, and 11 assists.
UNC Asheville: McKinley Brooks-Sumpter led the Bulldogs against the High Point Panthers on Wednesday night with a 20-point performance. Mallory Bruce and Jaila Lee posted 10 points each to help UNC Asheville reach 54 points against High Point. Sumpter-Brooks sits atop the Bulldogs stats with 285 points, 149 rebounds, 53 assists, 16 steals, and six blocks.
