Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Collecting seven hits and hitting three home runs, redshirt sophomore outfielder Scott Newman paced the Spartans at the plate last week, posting a .412 batting average and 1.000 slugging percentage. Last Friday, he became the first Spartan since April 20, 2024, to record a multi-homer game, hitting a pair in his first two at-bats of the series opener versus Radford. On the year, he sports a team-best .380 batting average and .704 slugging percentage.

Wofford: Driving home a pair in the ninth inning of Sunday's series finale, junior infielder James Layman secured the series win for the Terriers over Elon with his walk-off double. The walk-off delivered RBI numbers 14 and 15 for Layman on the year, ranking third on the club in the category and third on the team with a .333 batting average. He also enters Wednesday's game with nine stolen bases in 11 attempts.
