CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the fourth time in the first five weeks of the 2025 campaign, USC Upstate volleyball's
Kamyla Vega David captured Big South Conference Setter of the Week honors as the league announced its weekly award winners Monday afternoon. The honor marks her sixth career Setter of the Week nod and 16
th overall weekly award win.
A native of Carolina, Puerto Rico, Vega David was the lone Big South setter to distribute 10 or more assists per set last week, topping out at 11.00 per stanza during her 55-assist effort against UNC Asheville. The match stands as her fourth 50-plus assist match of the year—one of five such efforts in the Big South this season. She complemented her assist total with 17 digs, securing her ninth double-double of the campaign. Vega David also totaled two kills on five attack attempts against the Bulldogs.
