Event Preview:
Returning to VMI, USC Upstate track and field competes in the Winter Relays. Previously at the VMI Invitational, the men's team took first, and the women took second. Both teams combined for 41 different top performances and 40 new personal bests.

The men's triple jump and long jump event squads are ranked #13 and #21 nationally in the USTFCCCA NCAA DI Event Squad rankings.

Athletes to watch include Xavier Stone, who set the school record in the men's triple jump with a distance of 15.27m. Shriyaan Krishnaraj took first place in the 400m with his time of 48.34.

For the women, Taylor Thomas took first place in shot put, throwing a distance of 13.53m. Sophia Outhous has been a consistent runner for the Spartans, having set personal bests in consecutive meets for both the 800m and 600m.
