Men's Track and Field Place Third, Tying Program's Highest Finish at Big South Indoor Championships

MILL SPRING, N.C. – USC Upstate track and field wrapped up the 2025-2026 indoor season at the Big South Championships this weekend. The men's team finished third overall with 106 points, tying the program's highest finish ever in the Big South Indoor Championships. Notably, the points total is the most the men's team has ever scored at a conference championship.
The Spartans had 35 different top performances and 20 new personal bests this weekend.
Day One: Three different Spartans reached the podium on Friday. Joshua Sterling and Jenelda Aristhil earned silver in the men's and women's weight throw, respectively. Michael Moody placed third in men's long jump, securing the bronze. Shriyaan Krishnaraj qualified for the men's 400m, setting a new school record of 47.75.
Day Two: In the men's 400m final, Krishnaraj finished in second place with a time of 47.31, breaking his own school record set the previous day. With a time of 6.81, Evan Daniels placed third in the men's 60m.
