
Track and Field Closes Indoor Regular Season At Tryon Mid-Winter Invite

MILL SPRING, N.C. – For the last regular-season meet of the 2025-2026 indoor campaign, USC Upstate track and field returned to Mill Spring for the Tryon Mid-Winter Invite.
Both teams combined for 21 personal bests. There were 11 all-time school history performances, including a new school record.
Day One: The women's 4x800m relay team of Grace Glassmeyer, Alexandra La Rue, Alexis Plaster, and Jordan Thornton set the new school record in the event with a time of 9:45.70, also securing the event win. In men's weight throw, Josh Sterling placed first, throwing a distance of 20.00m. Sterling now sits third all-time in school history.
Day Two: In the last event of the day, the men's 4x400m team of Colliin Bui-Hayes, Chandler Hunter, Jacob Ruff, and Shriyaan Krishnaraj finished first with a time of 3:19.29, a mark that is third all-time in school history. Jordan Thornton secured a third-place finish in the women's 3000m, setting a new personal best of 10:22.65.
