Spartanburg, S.C. – Jordan Miller drove in a game-high four runs while Drake Harris smacked a team-best four hits as the USC Upstate baseball team rallied from a four-run first inning deficit to defeat Wofford 14-10 at Harley Park on Sunday.
Upstate improves to 5-8 while Wofford drops to 3-8.
Scoring Breakdown
- Top 1st – Wofford scored four runs in the first inning on an Alex Malsch double, a Brett Hash single and a Cody Miller two-run double.
- Bottom 2nd – Jake Bourke reached on a fielder's choice and scored on a Harris triple to get Upstate on the board.
- Top 3rd – Max McDougald reached on a one-out walk and scored on a Carson Waln single.
- Bottom 3rd – Zach Krider led off the inning with a walk and scored on a Charlie Carpenter single with one out. J.J. Shimko brought home Devon Ortiz with a single.
- Bottom 4th – Bourke led off the frame with a single and advanced to third on a Wofford error that allowed Harris to reach. Miller hit his second home run of the season, a three-run blast, to give Upstate a 6-5 lead.

- Bottom 6th – Upstate sent nine batters to the plate and scored five runs on two hits. Ortiz scored the first run of the inning on a groundout by Shimko. Harris drove in a run on a single while Bourke scored on a wild pitch. Krider drove in two runs with a two-out single.
- Top 7th – Wofford plated three runs on an Upstate error, a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly.
- Bottom 8th – Upstate added a pair of insurance runs on a two-out single by Hunter Gilbert.
