KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – USC Upstate senior golfer Hunter Fry (Dacula, Ga.) shot an even 72 on the final day of the Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate at the Oak Point Club, pacing the Spartans with a 17^th place individual finish in the tournament.
 
Fry, shot an opening round 70, a second round score of 74 and he led the Spartans in both Par 4 and Par 5 scoring for the tournament. Fry also led the team in made birdies (10) and Eagles (1). Max Dupree (Eatonton, Ga.) finished second on the team with a total score of 227 for the weekend. The freshman led the team with 35 pars in the tournament.
 
Parker Lewis (Inman, S.C.) bounced back in the final round of the tournament with a team best 70. The junior finished third on the team with a 236 total score. Panop Norasing (Bangkok, Thailand) finished fourth on the team with a score of 238. Zander Briggs (Simpsonville, S.C.) finished with a 248 and Parker Fain (Boiling Springs, S.C.) ended with a 249 score.
 
Despite finishing 10^th in the tournament the Spartans improved everyday on the court. On the first day the Spartans hit a 309, followed by a 308 on the second day and on the final day, Upstate hit a 294.
 
Next Up
The USC Upstate men's golf team will be back in action next weekend at the Seabest Seafood Invitational at TPC Sawgrass.
