Teams:
The Southeast Regional includes 48+ universities, including athletes from schools like Appalachian State, Bellarmine, Clemson, Kentucky, James Madison University, Liberty, and North Carolina. Fellow Big South Conference members Charleston Southern, Longwood, Radford, UNC-Asheville, and High Point will also be competing.

Event Preview:
USC Upstate had a historic race day at the Big South Championship on November 1st. Nine Spartans set new personal bests.

Beth Ludwick led the women, finishing with a time of 18:07.4, ranking her fourth all-time in school history. Ludwick earned Big South All-Conference Second Team honors. Jordan Thornton set a new personal best in the championship with a time of 18:15.7. This time puts her sixth all-time in school history.

On the men's side, Sam Shimanskiy shaved 20 seconds off his previous personal best. Shimanskiy set a time of 25:18. 3, moving him to fifth all-time in school history.  Nick Brooks cracked a top-50 finish in the Big South Championship, setting a new personal best of 26:29.0.

To qualify for the NCAA Championship, the top two teams from each region automatically qualify, with thirteen additional teams being selected at large. Additionally, 38 individuals will also be selected.

UP Next for the Spartans
If the Spartans qualify, the NCAA Cross Country Championship will be held on November 23rd in Verona, Wisconsin. The women's race begins at 10:20 am and the men's at 11:10 am.
