SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Beginning a week of five games away from the Hub City, USC Upstate baseball heads to the Volunteer State for the final double midweek of the 2025 campaign, facing Tennessee Tech Tuesday and Wednesday. The Spartans and Golden Eagles meet in a double midweek for the second straight season with Upstate taking both meetings in Spartanburg last year, winning both games via walk-off homers.

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Adding eight RBI to his season total last weekend, junior first baseman Wylie Waters became the second Spartan in 2025 to reach the 40-plus RBI plateau, ranking second on the club with 46 runs batted in. He also slugged a pair of homers in the series versus UNCG, making him the third Spartan this year with double-digit home runs, entering the midweek with 10 long balls.
 
Tennessee Tech: Heading into Tuesday's series opener, sophomore catcher Mack Whitcomb leads the Golden Eagles in all three slash-line categories, posting a line of .364/.486/.650. He leads Tennessee Tech with 52 hits, 12 doubles, nine home runs, and 36 RBI on the year while collecting 35 free bases (23 walks and 12 HBP).
