SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Coming off a sweep of its midweek contests against former ASUN compatriots with wins over North Florida and Stetson, USC Upstate baseball continues its nine-game road swing, travelling to Georgia Southern for a three-game weekend set. The Spartans and Eagles tangle Friday at 6:30 p.m. ET, Saturday at 2 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m., meeting for the first time since playing two midweek contests on March 11-12, 2008.

USC Upstate
Pitcher: In his second start of the season and his third start of his career, redshirt junior right-handed pitcher Max Bianchini notched his first career quality start last Sunday against NJIT. He scattered three hits and four baserunners over 6.0 innings of work, allowing one unearned run while striking out four batters for the win. He carries a 1-1 record and 7.27 ERA into the weekend series at Georgia Southern.

Position Player: Posting back-to-back multi-hit efforts, giving him a team-high six this season, redshirt sophomore centerfielder Henry Zenor extended his hitting streak to 10 games, the longest by a Spartan since last May. One of four Spartans to start all 10 games for Upstate, he fashions a .380/.396/.480 three-slash line as he ranks second in the NCAA in hits with 19, one behind the national leader.

Georgia Southern
Pitcher: One of four Eagles to make four appearances out of the bullpen, redshirt senior left-handed pitcher Will Robins posts a team-best 3.60 ERA on the season. Over his four appearances, he's tossed 5.0 innings, scattering five hits while striking out seven against zero walks.

Position Player: Heading the Eagle lineup through two weeks of the season, redshirt freshman outfielder Max Prozny posts a .364 batting average. He totals eight hits on the season, three of which have gone for extra bases, including a team-lead-tying two home runs. He enters the weekend with six RBI, ranking second on the Georgia Southern squad.

Returning to the Palmetto State, Upstate continues its nine-game road swing with a trip to the state's flagship university. The Spartans head to South Carolina next Tuesday, facing a 6:30 p.m. ET first pitch.
