A defensive anchor for a pair of Peach Belt Tournament Championship teams, Grant made the most of his two seasons in a Rifle uniform. Over his two seasons following a transfer from Young Harris, leading the Rifles to a 33-7-1 record and 19 total shutouts, helping the program frequent the NCAA Division II national rankings—ranking as high as fifth—and return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1998 with an appearance in 2002. Grant started all 38 games he played, helping the defense to a 0.99 goals against average during his two seasons. The 2002 Peach Belt Player of the Year, Grant made the most of his one shot attempt on the season, sending home a diving header two minutes into overtime of the Rifles' 4-3 comeback victory over USC Aiken. The Peach Belt Player of the Year selection marked the top accolade of his career while he added 2001 Peach Belt Tournament MVP and 2001 and 2002 NSCAA All-Southeast Region selections to his list of accomplishments.
