- 2001
Mike Smith is the third member of the golden era of USCS men's basketball to be inducted into the school's Hall of Fame.
Smith began his career as a Rifle in 1982, the season after USCS won the NAIA National Championship. He was an essential part of the squad for three years. He ranks 10th on USCS' all-time scoring list with 1,177 points, having played in one less season than everyone above him on the list. He ranks among the school's all-time leaders in eight other statistical categories.
A three-time All-District Six selection, Smith led the Rifles to three 20-win seasons during his stint at USCS.
Smith is currently winding down an impressive professional basketball career playing internationally in Spain. A 12-year veteran, he has led his teams to two Spanish and European Championships.
