Spartans Wrap Up Play At The UNF Fall Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Cinthya Lazaro and sophomore Ana-Sofia Camberos each won a match in the consolation `B' singles bracket to highlight the USC Upstate women's tennis team's day during the final day of play at the UNF Hampton Inn 9A & Baymeadow Fall Tennis Invitational at the UNF Tennis Complex on Sunday.
Lazaro wrapped up her tournament by defeating UAB's Richole Berger, 6-3, 6-4 in the consolation `B' bracket. Camberos started her day by defeating Samford's Lindsey Mallory of Samford, 6-2, 6-4, but fell in her final match to Jenny Cape of UAB, 6-3, 6-1.
Freshman Catherine Estupinan, who won her first collegiate match on Saturday, fell to Jessica Diamond of Samford, 6-0, 6-2 in a consolation `C' bracket match.
The Spartans will wrap up their fall season at the Wofford Fall Challenge in Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday, Nov. 7.
