Rain Forces Change In Weekend Upstate Softball Schedule

Spartanburg, S.C. - With rain already falling in the Spartanburg area and at USC Upstate, and with the threat of severe weather for the remainder of the day, the A-Sun softball doubleheader between the Spartans and Belmont scheduled for Friday at Cyrill Stadium has been postponed. As a result, the weekend schedule has been altered significantly.
Upstate will now take on Belmont Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in a doubleheader that can be seen live on the Internet at www.ASun.TV. The doubleheader between Upstate and Lipscomb originally scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday is expected to be rescheduled for Sunday afternoon at Cyrill Stadium. The start time has yet to be determined and will be announced when final details are released. As a special Easter promotion, there will not be a charge for admission at Sunday's games, though regular admission prices are in effect for Saturday's doubleheader against Belmont.
