SPARTANBURG, S.C. - After the sixth match postponed or canceled due to weather last week, the USC Upstate women's tennis team will get back on the court on Wednesday when it heads to Charlotte as a tune-up for a Friday match at ETSU. The Spartans will be looking for some payback against the Lady Bucs, who beat Upstate, 5-2, in 2009 for a piece of the A-Sun regular-season title. Both teams, along with UNF and Campbell, are still undefeated in A-Sun play.

The USC Upstate women's tennis team fell short in its quest to repeat as Atlantic Sun Conference regular season champions, as ETSU won all three doubles matches and grabbed the momentum to carry itself to a 5-2 win.

In their third year of Division I play, the Spartans have an all-time record of 39-8 (.830).
Upstate needs just one more win to post 10 wins for the sixth straight season and for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons.
Upstate won the 200th match in the program's 21-year history on March 5 against Belmont.
Junior Emilia Milovanvic is one of 10 players in school history to post 10 singles wins in three straight seasons.
Upstate's three freshmen in the everyday lineup, Monica Pezzotti, Simona Cacciuttolo and Francisca Valderrama, have posted an 19-9 (.679) in singles play.
Junior Emilia Milovanovic needs just three wins to move into seventh in school history in combined wins ... With 92 career wins, she is three from passing Paloma Castillo (2001-05), who won 95 matches in her career.
Junior Emilia Milovanovic is currently fifth in school history in doubles wins, passing Maria Herrera (2005-08) with her win against Lipscomb on Saturday ... She is currently fifth with 53 wins.
Junior Emilia Milovanovic needs just one more win to become the 11th player in school history to reach 40 singles wins.
Both freshmen Simona Cacciuttolo and Francisca Valderrama each need one more singles win to become the 11th and 12th freshmen in school history to reach 10 in their rookie years.
Cinthya Lazaro is currently 15th in the school's career combined wins with 57 and her 32 singles wins are 12th in school history ... She is also 15th with 25 doubles wins.
Senior Carolina Bello showed some versatility during Upstate's trip to Tennessee, earning her first dual meet win of the year in a three-set match at No. 5 against Tennessee Tech and also winning at No. 3 against Lipscomb.
