Spartans Finish Second at Spring Fling Invitational

Howie-In-The-Hills, Fla. – The USC Upstate women's golf shot a final round 316, its lowest of the tournament, and claimed a second-place finish in the Spring Fling Invitational at the Mission Inn Country Club in Central Florida.
Upstate finished the tournament with a 973, 54-hole total. The Spartans finished 45 strokes ahead of Bethune-Cookman (1,018). Boston College won the tournament with a 938 total.
Johanna Ebenhag (Gothenberg, Sweden) was the low Spartan on the day, carding a 5-over 72. She finished 12th in the tournament. Taylor Pleier (Spartanburg, S.C.) and Rachel Lewis (Llanishen, Wales) each carded 79s on the day. Pleier finished seventh overall with a 241 total. Lewis finished tied for eighth with a 244 total.
Amanda Hall (Tega Cay, S.C.) was the low Spartan in the tournament, finishing tied for fourth with a 238 total. She shot an 81 on Sunday. Marissa Clontz (Greenville, S.C.) shot an 86 in the final round and finished 14th.
Bethune-Cookman's Kimberly Wong won the individual championship with a 226 total. She won by six strokes.
