Morgan Page Named A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week

Macon, Ga. – USC Upstate senior libero Morgan Page has been selected as the Atlantic Sun Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for her performance last weekend on the volleyball court, it was announced this afternoon by the league office.
Page, a Woodstock, Ga. native, led the Spartans defensively with 46 digs in two matches against A-Sun opponents Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson. She began the weekend with a career-high 33 digs as a late rally by Upstate fell just short in a 3-2 defeat to FGCU. Page tied for the team lead with 13 digs the following day in a 3-0 loss to Stetson. She averaged 5.75 digs per set in the two matches, recording 6.60 digs per set against FGCU and 4.3 digs per set against Stetson.
On the season, Page has played in 11 matches and ranks second on the team in digs with 158. She averages 3.76 digs per set.
Upstate returns to action Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. when it hosts the Mercer Bears at 6 p.m. The match will be televised on ESPN3.
