
Spartans Set to Take on Big South Schools UNCA, Coastal Carolina

Spartanburg, S.C. – After a successful opening weekend, the USC Upstate women's soccer team is set for a pair of games against Big South Conference schools when the Spartans travel to UNC Asheville Thursday evening and play host to Coastal Carolina Sunday afternoon.
Upstate opened the season with a 2-1 win over Big South member VMI and claimed a 0-0 tie with Southern Conference foe Wofford and stands 1-0-1 entering this week's action. The 1-0-1 start is the best two-game start in program history. UNC Asheville enters Thursday's game with a 1-0-0 record after posting a 2-1 win over Eastern Kentucky. Coastal Carolina plays at Wofford Friday night and enters the week with a 0-1-1 mark after dropping a 2-0 decision to Elon and tying Davidson 0-0.
