
Spartan Duo to Compete at ITA Carolina Regional

Spartanburg, S.C. – Two members of the USC Upstate women's tennis team will compete amongst the top players from the states of North Carolina and South Carolina this weekend at the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championships from the University of North Carolina's Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
In the USTA/ITA Division I Regional Championships, NCAA Division I men and women face off with singles and doubles champions from each of the twelve regions advancing into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, held November 6-9 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
Action at the Carolina Regional begins Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. with the qualifying singles bracket, with all participants who reach the quarterfinals automatically advancing into the main draw.
Upstate sophomore Anna Zoske will compete in the qualifying singles bracket and is scheduled to face Sara Bondar of Coastal Carolina Thursday at 11 a.m. Senior Isabel von Stryk will begin competition Friday in the main singles draw. Her match time has yet to be determined.
Zoske and von Stryk will also compete in doubles action. Opponents and match times will be released later in the evening.
