
Zoske Advances to Main Draw at ITA Carolina Regional

Chapel Hill, N.C. – Anna Zoske won both her singles matches and advanced to the main draw on day one of the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Thursday from the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on the University of North Carolina campus.
Sophomore Anna Zoske opened play for the Spartans and turned in a 6-0, 7-5 victory over Sara Bondar of Coastal Carolina in the first round of the singles qualifying bracket. In her next match, Zoske defeated Mariana Humberg of Winthrop 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 to secure her spot in the main draw. She is scheduled to face No. 2 seed Caroline Price of North Carolina Friday at 4:30 p.m.
In doubles play, Zoske and partner Isabel von Stryk suffered an 8-3 loss to fifth-seeded Hadley Berg and Elixane Lechemia of South Carolina in round of 32.
Day two of the regional begins Friday at 8:30 a.m., with von Stryk competing in the main singles draw at 12:30 p.m. against Marikka Ackerman of North Carolina.
