Spartans Tabbed A-Sun Favorite by NSAI Blog

Spartanburg, S.C. - Coming off a 46-9 season, its second consecutive A-Sun title and its second straight appearance in the NCAA Regionals, the USC Upstate softball team has been tabbed to win the A-Sun again in 2015 by Nothing Soft About It (NSAI) Mid-Major Softball Blog.
NSAI not only picked Upstate to win the A-Sun regular season title, but also picked the Spartans to advance to the NCAA Regionals for the third consecutive season. The blog also boasts Upstate as one of the Top 30 teams in the nation and a premier mid-major program.
Upstate was selected to win the A-Sun by NSAI and was followed by Lipscomb, Stetson, Florida Gulf Coast, Kennesaw State, Jacksonville, North Florida and Northern Kentucky. The blog names the A-Sun as "the nation's breakout mid-major conference."
Upstate will have a veteran team take the field in 2015. The Spartans will have four seniors start in the infield and return the reigning A-Sun Player of the Year and All-American Shellie Robinson in centerfield as well as the reigning A-Sun Freshman of the Year Lexi Shubert (pitcher).
