
Upstate Set to Compete at Wake Forest Invitational Friday

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate cross country team travels to Winston-Salem, N.C. Friday afternoon to compete at the Wake Forest Invitational hosted by Wake Forest at the Ivey M. Redmon Sports Complex.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. with the men's 8000-meter race followed by the women's 6000-meters at 5:15 p.m.
Upstate is one of 24 teams set to run at the Wake Forest Invitational including: Appalachian State, Charleston Southern, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Davidson, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Elon, Furman, George Mason, High Point, N.C. Central, N.C. State, Richmond, Shaw, UNC Asheville, UNC Wilmington, VMI, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Western Carolina, Wingate and Winston-Salem State.
The Spartans are returning to the course for the first time in two weeks when they hosted the Upstate Invitational at Milliken Research Center. Griffin Eubanks turned in the top individual performance for Upstate with a sixth place finish in the men's 8K race. In the women's 5K event, Anastasia Kolesnitchenko led the Spartan women with a 40th place showing.
Upstate will head to Jacksonville, Fla. on Friday, Oct. 30 for the A-Sun Championships at Hayt Golf Learning Center.
