
Spartans Conclude Regular Season this Weekend at Jacksonville, North Florida

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate volleyball team finishes its regular season schedule this weekend as it travels to the state of Florida to face A-Sun opponents Jacksonville and North Florida.
Upstate (15-13, 3-9) starts out its weekend Friday evening at 7 p.m. with Jacksonville before closing out the regular season Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. against North Florida.
The Spartans rallied from two sets down last Saturday to record their third conference victory of the season following a 3-2 win over Stetson in their final home match of the season. Madison Haake recorded her conference-leading sixth triple-double, and Lexi Gober added her 12th double-double, to lead Upstate in the win against Stetson. Emily Koelling collected a team-high 16 kills and Kaleigh Kelley contributed a career-best 24 digs.
Upstate continues to lead the nation this season in digs per set and attacks per set, while ranking ninth in digs and tenth in attacks. In the conference, the Spartans are first in service aces and digs. Haake sits fourth nationally in triple-doubles and is second in the league in service aces behind Gober.
Jacksonville currently sits at 10-14 overall and 7-5 in the conference, and North Florida is 19-10 on the season and 5-7 in league play. Upstate trails in the all-time series to Jacksonville 12-2 and 31-7 against North Florida. Earlier this season, the Spartans fell to Jacksonville 3-1 and North Florida 3-2.
