Macon, Ga. – USC Upstate women's tennis senior Isabel von Stryk was selected to the 2015 Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference team, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
A native of Holm, Germany, von Stryk owns a 3.73 grade point average in business administration and joins Julie Bell (2013) as the only two Spartans in school history to earn a spot on the A-Sun All-Academic Team.
On the court, von Stryk finished the regular season tied for first in the conference with 15 wins and featured a 4-2 mark in league play. She also turned in a nine-match winning streak midway through the season playing exclusively from the No. 1 position.
Her 15 singles victories are tied for the 10th-most in a single season in school history, and her 47 career wins rank ninth all-time at Upstate.
Von Stryk was also 10-7 in doubles play this season and went on a seven-match winning streak early in the year.
The Academic All-Conference Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom and exemplify the A-Sun's mission of building winners for life. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
