Spartans Finish Day Two of Elon Invitational

Elon, N.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team finished day two of the Elon Invitational Saturday from the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
Upstate freshman Carol Sigaki turned in a 6-2, 7-6 (3) victory over Michelle Satterfield of Emory in the maroon singles flight consolation bracket. Sigaki and teammate Felicia Ahlborg won by default in the Powell doubles flight consolation bracket. Consolation final matches will not be played.
Senior Sarah Vande Berg dropped a 6-2, 6-0 decision to McKenzie Barco of Chattanooga in the oak singles flight, while Ahlborg lost 6-2, 6-4 to Jamie Rogers of North Carolina Central.
